Mohamed Adow

Lead Data Scientist & Founder Asal Analytica

A Certified Data Scientist and double board-certified Nutritionist who leads Asal Analytica’s vision of harnessing data to power innovation. With expertise in data analysis, visualization, and machine learning, he designs evidence-based solutions that address food security, health systems, and sustainable development in ASAL regions. His passion lies in transforming complex datasets into actionable strategies that improve lives and shape resilient communities.

Mercy Mosoti

Public Health Nutrition Specialist and researcher

With extensive experience in managing food security and nutrition programs across East Africa. At Asal Analytica, she brings her expertise in health systems governance, data-driven research, and sustainable nutrition strategies to strengthen our mission of providing innovative, evidence-based solutions for ASAL communities. Mercy’s background in policy development, behavior change communication, and monitoring & evaluation aligns seamlessly with our focus on leveraging analytics, capacity building, and cross-sector collaboration to address critical challenges in health and sustainable development.

Abdi Mohamed Sheikh

Community Engagement Lead

A medical doctor and epidemiologist with a unique focus on population health. By combining my clinical experience with advanced epidemiological and research methodologies, I work to understand, prevent, and treat diseases on both an individual and community level, both in infectious and non communicable diseases. My goal is to use data-driven insights to create tangible improvements in health outcomes especially in ASAL Counties where research is scarcely done..

Abdullahi Kulei

Lead Software Engineer & Technology Solutions Architect

Asal Analytica’s technical anchor, Abdullahi specializes in full-stack development, having completed software Engineering and is pursuing a B.Sc. in Data Science. His leadership led him to top the Safaricom PLP Hackathon —a testament to his innovation and deep technical skill. Abdullahi designs robust, scalable tech solutions that fuel our data-driven initiatives and mission to create meaningful, sustainable change across ASAL communities.
